Alberta – The first name in Italian sofas.

The collections take their inspiration from three trends: Luxury, Contemporary and Design. The products are the result of research into distinctive styling by architects and designers or come from projects entered into with well-known academic institutions including the Design lab at the IUAV in Venice and Poli Design at the Milan Polytechnic.

ALBERTA was founded in 1978 in Italy’s north east, a land inspired by tradition based on the natural creativity of the local people and the Centuries-old spirit of Venetian artistry. The company produces sofas and armchairs with timeless classic or modern styling as well as exclusive interior design pieces, all from extraordinarily high-quality materials. Authentic artisan skill and genuine passion combine to produce new pieces based on original ideas and fresh perspectives. Company founder Giuseppe Sbroggiò is driven to design and produce pieces which are the perfect balance between functionality and style, a drive he shares with his sons Riccardo, Vittorio and Edoardo as well as with his entire staff.

The collection Emmemobili had been created in the 1980s by Tagliabue family.
The Tagliabue firm was founded in 1879 at Cantù, and right from the start it has always manufactured top-quality made to measure furniture and multilayer panels for the aeronautics industry.

Working alongside the best architects and building up solid experience meant that the company could win the Triennale design award in the 1930s.
Currently the company is being run by the fourth generation of the family, sensitive towards international trends, innovative design and top-quality customized products.

The materials we use come mostly from re-planted forestry areas, or are only used in very limited quantities. Our manufacturing philosophy means that we use the latest processes for reducing or reusing waste: all wastage is put back into the manufacturing cycle as heat energy, or is sent for recycling. The glues we use do not contain formaldehyde, which is slowly released into the atmosphere, or any toxic solvents. We use varnish which has been certified by Italian or Austrian laboratories, and which guarantee good chemical, mechanical, and physical resistance. To protect the environment, we have chosen only resins and varnishes which can be dissolved in water rather than traditional solvents. These are highly technological products, which bring together all our aesthetic and protection requirements with a need to safeguard the environment and the health and safety of our staff and customers.
Therefore our manufacturing processes and our choice of materials mean that we can declare Emmemobili products as “environmentally sustainable”.

Our company is founded on a long family tradition, dating all the way back to 1921. Ever since then, it has been treating leather with care, mastery and experience to create chairs, armchairs, tables and other items of furniture with a timeless elegance.

Frag’s cultural and technical knowledge was built up over time through ongoing research, acquiring expertise in working with other materials in addition to leather, later enhanced by the creativity of international designers. Significant innovation in the use of materials has seen the full range imbued with ever greater quality, purity of form and attention to detail. The different types of leather, each with its own individual characteristics, are matched with the designer’s specific needs for a given project. Tradition and innovation meet in perfect harmony, essential for combining classic materials such as leather with the latest in contemporary design. Frag owes its commercial success to avant-garde forms, modern influences and touches that mould material and memory, reinterpreting their function and transforming them into powerful expressions.

The production is 100% made in Italy, in the same place where the company was founded in the early twentieth century and where the headquarters, the faactory and the showroom are always located. The inspiration draws however from ideas coming from the major European and American cities.

The way we work, attentive to detail, elegance and modernity, forms the basis of our growth. We chose to be global and international also in the distribution, that’s why we are present with numerous showrooms worldwide and with flagship stores especially in the US.

Our history begins in the 1920s with the production of furnishings for schools, the first of this epoch. In the 1950s we we have established ourselves in the Italian manufacturers of home furniture and after reaching the maximum expansion around the ’70s, so we decided to expand our market to Europe.
Hence the beginning of meetings with important European designers and the ambition, achieved in the 90s to export our furnishings to the United States. In 2008 we created a new showroom in the company’s headquarters.
From September 2017 to meet the new international challenges, the company joins Mezzalira Investment Group Spa, together with Sinetica Industries (office furniture), Sitland (chairs) and Rotaliana (lighting), this in order to join a single pole of Italian companies with a high quality design furnishings, the purpose is to offer a more complete range of products and solutions together with the creation of synergies in production, management and distribution, this is useful in enhancing the individual Brand of Group companies. Today we export our “Made in Italy” in more than 80 Countries all over the world together with complete design solutions for every environment home, office, horeca, contract. Our strength is the passion, our goal is to create value for our customers.

Balancing craftsmanship with industrial techniques, efficient production and a focus on details, Lapalma produces and sells its quality design worldwide. Chairs, armchairs, stools and tables are the result of ongoing research, aimed at creating truly innovative solutions that interact with each other. More than separate furnishing items, they are furniture systems that connect people.

We work where we were born. We could say that we have been “locally sourced” for forty years because we made our first furniture in a garage, a few metres from home, in Cadoneghe, at the weekends. It took us hours to make a small table. Today, it takes us fifty seconds to shape the continuous sinuous line of the LEM stool. We have changed because we have remained faithful to ourselves and to what we love the most, technology, a knowledge of materials, research and determination. Before becoming the company Lapalma, we worked for NASA, making transistor capsules, a few millimetres of total precision, using a gauge instead of a tape measure. Some of our products must have arrived on the moon, whereas we stayed with our feet firmly on the ground, which means concreteness and courage. We have always been farsighted, however, looking for innovative ideas, new markets and fresh strategies, even when, in the early 1990s, we decided to focus on seating and then, ten years later and after achieving many international awards, we transformed our collections into a system of versatile minimalist products, ideal for all environments.
In the early 1980s, when we moved from the garage to a disused distillery, we took part in our first trade fair, in Padua. Our agent at the time, presented three small tables, which were a great success, and orders began to arrive from the most prestigious shops in the north of Italy. “And now, what are we going to do?”, we asked ourselves. “Now, you will make them”, replied the agent. And we did precisely that. To make our products and continuously improve, we chose state-of-the-art machinery and customised it based on our experience. To make furniture and implement projects, even the most difficult ones created by our amazing designers, we focused on automation. Nevertheless, we wanted manual craftsmanship to go hand-in-hand with technology: a complex assembly phase, a step, or rather two, of sandpapering with different grain sizes to ensure perfect details, and the smoothing of fabrics.
In 2010, we inaugurated our current headquarters, 14,500 sq.m of fluid, bright and “green” spaces, because we chose solar energy. Each product, with its intricate complexity, is created here and then distributed to 81 countries. We work hard. Then the weekend arrives. As children, we would go and watch car races and we imagined that the speed of those cars and the beauty of those lines in the wind were ours. We still like sports cars today. Just as we like tending to our vegetable garden and spending time with the family. We grew up in this way, together and free, in the local area.

LINTELOO is a furniture brand that radiates ‘enjoying the good life’ in every possible way with designs characterized by warmth, comfort and a cosmopolitan flair.

Dutch Design was becoming a world brand in the nineties but Jan te Lintelo, who launched his first Linteloo collection in 1993, wanted to go even further. He started a new concept in 1995 – the now famous ‘feel-good factor’. The design for easy living with comfortable sofas and chairs was a big success in The Netherlands and soon other countries followed.

The ‘feel-good factor’ theme now ties together the Linteloo range. This translates into their soft furnishings in a relaxed, shabby chic style using crushed linens and cushions with sink-in softness. The right balance between structure and softness in their seating range is a result of in depth research into the ideal combination of down, feather and foam.

Penta Light

Born in 1975 in Cabiate, in the heart of Brianza, Penta marked out immediately in the furnishing market for the originality of its proposal: production and sale of five lines of basic complements to decorate the house.

However, the firm belief that being successful meant offering excellent quality together with an intriguing and recognizable design, pushed the firm to specialize in one of the original branches: lighting. Since then the development of Penta has not stopped, making it part of the limited bunch of leading firms in this field.

In the years the collection has evolved as well, maintaining intact all characteristics that make it different and thus exclusive: quality, elegance, functionality and brilliant matching of materials. Fundamental to this goal is the extreme specialization of the production, the constant exchange of know-how with technicians and designers and the strict quality control. In 2014 Penta has been acquired by Andrea Citterio, who gave a new imprint to the corporate structure, and in the next four years leads the company to become a Group.

From 2017 till the end of 2018, the Group acquired and established three new companies: Penta Architectural for technical lighting, P custom for made-to-measure lighting and Arredoluce Milano 1943 which puroposes the re-edition of the historical pieces designed by the Masters of the Italian design.

With these four companies, each one excellent in its field, Penta confirm again its important role in the lighting market, offering 360° lighting solution.

On this purpose, it is worth mentioning the supply of some of the biggest hotel chains such as Hilton, Marriott, Radisson, Epic Sana, Rosewood and Accor Group, such as mentioning some of our most esteemed clients: Natuzzi, Allianz (Swiss Headquarter), HSBC (worldwide branches), Bper (Italian branches), Bank of Georgia, Oracle (Ireland), Make Offices (USA).

Punt Mobles

Punt. It is the starting point of a never ending line of a design conception. As on a sculpture, each encounter and each material is the origin of the magic of a piece that intends to provide a balance between emotions and functionality. Punt. It is the meeting point of a piece of art and its adaptation to the spaces that fill our lives.

The subtle lines and details by the designer meet the expert hands that shape the wood. Art & Craftsmanship together to bring pieces that intend to change spaces through their beauty.

Contemporary design doesn’t meet one single use anymore. Offices are creative spaces, because people are looking for more human environments for communicating, inspiring, teaching and leading. Hotels have become another tourist attraction. They offer cosiness and design as the final touch to an exotic trip or the homely rest at the end of a long work day. Restaurants pair culinary creativity with the experience of a customer that interacts with an equally suggestive environment.

Some pieces by Punt have been with us for so many years that they are already part of the history of furniture design. One of them, La Literatura, designed in the early years of the company’s foundation, is over 35 years old. It is displayed in several museums and it is already considered a contemporary classic of the 20th century. Its creation inspired our company’s development and was partly responsible for Punt receiving the Design National Award in 1997. Other awards confirm a career that has resulted in some pieces that are part of our history.

In Saba’s books, quality is about accuracy, be it in measurements or details, which is why we use ultra-high-precision machinery to ensure optimisation and control at every stage in production. The experience of our skilled craftsmen is still an essential ingredient.

The selection of excellent materials underpins each new project. What distinguishes Saba is its unmistakable style in combining each shape with the poetry of its colours and the material of its textiles. Each collection has its own distinctive nature and design, so that the various models can be shaped and adapted to ergonomic requirements.

During over its fifty-five years of production has made an immediate name for itself as a reference point for the market, not just in Italy but also abroad so that nowadays is present in about sixty Countries Worldwide.
Its company philosophy is based on a perfect combination of efficient quality standards, meticulous attention to detail and technical production knowledge.
Swan is synonymous with quality upholstered furniture. It is a cutting-edge company in terms of the research, development and subsequent use of new production technology. There are stories that are told through the immediacy of an object: domesticated materials speak of the hands that have shaped them, the shape suggests technological innovation and a culture of experience, while the function reveals the poetry of the design’s beau geste. And the story of a design company is narrated in each of the chapters of its production, like precious snapshots of a long tale still to be written. Each project is the meeting point between experience and research, devotion and emotion, then enriched by passing time in the places where we live, where each of us interacts with our own experiences, in an ongoing relay between present and memory.

Over the years, the process has become more refined reaching extremely high quality standards.
This did not arrest the brand’s evolution, that nowadays is not only a manufacturer of furnishing complements but offers vanguard solutions to furnish any kind of space.

We have been making outdoor furniture elements and accessories since 1969. Our expertise is based on a deep knowledge of craftsmanship, and is at the origin of our manufacturing skill. Our design stems from a constant comparison with the most evolved stylistic scenarios, as befits a brand deeply rooted in contemporary desires.

The result of our work can be admired and touched by hand in products that stand out both for the ability to perfectly combine form and function while maintaining comfort at the center of the design, and for the special attention that, from conception to construction, is reserved for attention to detail, the value of which reflects the uncompromising quality of the whole.

The distinctive sign of our approach is that drawn with the pencil of the best Italian and international design, to whose exponents we entrust the task of transforming the Varaschin philosophy, summarized in the concept of Outdoor Therapy, into elements and furnishing accessories that, through an original and elegant essentiality, skillfully harmonizing the exteriors with the interiors, they give everyday life a note of exceptionality.

Recently inaugurated in the hinterland of the Laguna, the new administrative premises of the company reflect the fine lines and the quality of materials which characterize the Vistosi brand. This is the place where industrial strategies and creative design meet.

In the last few years, in order to complement the production in the furnace, Vistosi created a workshop, where the metallic frames are manufactured. The presence of this department among the company’s assets allows a more flexible experimentation and creation of custom-made structures, such as the large suspension products like Giogali. Thanks to their equipment, the internal workshops allow taking care of the whole production process: from prototypes to quality control and wiring, always checking and certifying that each item works properly. All subcontractors are local, trustworthy and constantly checked over.

The blend used for blowing the Vistosi glass has exclusive features: it guarantees the strength and shine of the materials through time and yet it remains the product of a handcrafted process. The glass factory is the core of the glass blowing art, safeguarded by the hands of experienced masters who don’t refuse to face the challenge of manufacturing the new lines and textures born from the designers’ creativity.

Zeus Noto

ZEUS was founded in 1984 by a group of friends who enjoyed and wanted to share their experiences in the fields of DESIGN – FASHION – ART. Their aim was to merge and deliberately “contaminate” their ideas. This very instinctive initial idea gave rise to a boutique selling its own fabrics and fashion collections, an art gallery presenting Italian and foreign artists, and a minimalistic avant-garde design collection.

ZEUS is a self-produced and worldwide distributed design collection, mainly designed by Maurizio Peregalli, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Ron Arad, Franco Raggi, Marie-Christine Dorner and Roberto Tognon.

The research of new, yet traditional materials, semi-handicraft production methods, high quality finishing and details, are the distinctiveness of the thirty-year old tradition of ZEUS.

ZEUS has constantly been looking for design simplicity and rigor, subtracting the unnecessary, to give value to the specificity of surfaces and to living materials (natural sheet steel, linoleum, aged wood, rusty treatment and simil-concrete finish) creating special and unique pieces.

ZEUS, a landmark of avant-garde and minimalist design since ever, in 1984 was the forerunner of the Fuorisalone, organizing shared presentations and exhibitions within its spaces: this way it could fully express its identity, not reducing it to the space of a stand at the Fair.

Times have changed, but there is always the belief that the best way to express the ZEUS philosophy, during Design Week, is to exhibit products inside its historical headquarter, the Blue Garage of the 50’s located in Corso San Gottardo, right in the heart of Porta Ticinese Canals’ district in Milano: during the event “Fuorisalone Design Week” the 1000 sqm. showroom becomes a meeting place between the design world and the city.
