Description

Paola Paronetto Tripode Ceramic Sculpture from the The Paper Clay Collection (in Cartoccio, Liscio, Corteccia and Rete variants) are unique sculptures with a strong personality. Now iconic pieces, they are immediately recognizable as creations by Paola Paronetto. Playing with heights and colors, they add vitality to any space, dialoguing with each other like animated figures, each with its own personality.

After more than thirty years of personal research and experimentation with numerous ceramic techniques and materials, she decided to focus on paper clay in 2000. This led to Paola Paronetto Tripode Ceramic Sculpture collection, a rich series of sculptural objects created through long and very laborious procedures.

In addition to making design objects for major furniture shops in Italy and abroad, Paola also devotes herself to more personal artistic pieces, which are aimed at the modern art market. Her artwork is regularly exhibited at international art and design fairs, such as Milan Design Week, and in art galleries, including Ille Arts in New York and the Contemporary Ceramic Centre in London, which dedicated a solo exhibition to her.

Her work is mentioned in the most prestigious design and lifestyle magazines, as well as in books on design and ceramics, including W. Women in Italian Design (Corraini, 2016). In 2021, she presented her first book Metafore at Triennale Milano and held a large solo exhibition at the ADI Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro. For the last fifteen years, she has exhibited her artworks at the most important international design Fairs such as Maison & Objet, Paris.
